Photoshop Basics Workshop | Giggles Photography Studio

You’ve taken a photo. You captured the moment perfectly. But it’s lacking a bit of… oomph. That’s where Photoshop comes in – it can be your best friend in making your photos pop! But where do you start? It can be a completely overwhelming process, especially when you know the look you want, but can’t figure out the steps to take to get it.

That’s where we come in. We can show you the basics – how to brighten your colours, edit that photo to make it look like a professional took it, fix those little blemishes.. and more!

But to make it a little more fun we’re also going to shoot a cake smash session beforehand, so we have some fun images to edit!! That way you can see what we do, and try it out for yourself.

When:

Saturday 19th May 2012 – 9am – Midday

Where:

Giggles Photography Studio, Coomera

What to Expect:

We’re starting with a fully styled cake smash session! You can shoot alongside us and have a bit of fun. We’ll then be sitting down and going through how to edit the photos step by step, from start to finish. You will see some amazing little tips and tricks, plus you’ll learn the basics in photoshop – not just cropping and how to turn and image to black & white!

You will receive a pdf booklet with step by step instructions on everything we will cover for the day, plus a notebook to take copious amounts of notes

Plus, we’ve also organised a yummy morning tea!

What to Bring:

Your camera – a DSLR, point & shoot, it’s completely up to you! We’re shooting for fun!

Your laptop with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements

(this is not a compulsory requirement at all, you’ll still be able to follow along and take notes if you don’t have a laptop)

Cost:

$200 (strictly capped at 10 people)

This session was done in two parts as Miss C just did not want to sleep at her first session – I swear, she didn’t even blink! But, she was an absolute angel for us the second time and just cruised through her session

So as usual, I’m a little behind in my blogging! Shocking! Many of our facebook followers will remember a few weeks back when I ran out of petrol… this was the session I was on the way too!! Very lucky for me, Miss Kate (our client) was a very good sport about it all – and I ran out of petrol about 200m from a petrol station. After a brief stop, we were on our way again – and I’m so glad. We didn’t let the rain get in the way of our plans We started in the studio (and did a few for Kate’s eyes only!) and moved on in the afternoon to our outdoor session.

A big thank you to Kerryn from Allure Hair & Makeup for doing an absolutely AMAZING job on Kate’s hair and makeup. I’ve worked with Kerryn many, many times over the years and she does absolutely flawless work

And because I’m so behind, I have their newborn session ready to post right after this!!

Boy or Girl??

Introducing the latest addition to Giggles Photography just for the pregnant ones… the Gender Reveal!! These sessions are held right around your 18-19 weeks scan – all you need to do is get your ultrasound technician to write down the gender of your newest little addition on a piece of paper, seal it in an envelope, and try not to peek!! We then take your special little envelope and style your session accordingly – blue for boy, pink for girls (original, we know LOL).

Pregnancy is an amazing journey – and not a short one! Why wait until the very end of your pregnancy to celebrate?? Alessandra & Roger were lucky enough to fit in their gender reveal session right before I flew to Melbourne on Friday afternoon. Ale was so very excited to find out, and when I took a little peek to see whether we were going pink or blue, she just about died with the anticipation!! Her reaction was absolutely priceless, and I’m so honoured to be able to share this moment with you
